Salman Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ remains one of his most beloved films, capturing audiences with its powerful storyline and compelling characters. The 2015 blockbuster not only won hearts but also achieved massive success at the box office, earning over Rs 900 crore worldwide and becoming the highest-grossing film of the year. It even received the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
Fans have long clamored for a sequel, and director Kabir Khan recently addressed these demands in an interview with Connect Cine. Khan acknowledged the widespread desire to see the character of Bajrangi return to the screen. He explained that while the original film’s story, centered around Munni (played by Harshaali Malhotra), reached a satisfying conclusion, there are numerous possibilities for extending the narrative.
“If you ask me if there’s any script ready currently, the answer is no,” Khan said. “However, there are ideas and many interesting ways of taking Bajrangi forward.”
‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ also featured Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in significant roles. The plot revolved around a devout follower of Lord Hanuman, portrayed by Salman Khan, who embarks on a mission to return a mute six-year-old Pakistani girl to her home country.
While no concrete script exists yet, the hints of creative ideas suggest that fans might eventually see a continuation of Bajrangi’s journey. The original film’s immense popularity and success ensure that any sequel would be highly anticipated.
