Mumbai’s busy Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Airport had a tense start to the day when a Vistara flight from Paris faced a bomb threat, causing a major emergency response. The flight had 306 passengers on board. The threat came in the form of a handwritten note found on the flight, warning of a bomb. As a result, a full emergency was declared just before the flight’s scheduled landing. Thankfully, the plane landed safely at 10:19 AM on Sunday.
The airline, Vistara, confirmed the incident and assured that all necessary security measures were taken. They promptly informed the authorities and cooperated fully with the security checks. The flight landed at Mumbai Airport without any further issues.
In another incident, an Indigo flight from Varanasi to Delhi also received a bomb threat. Upon landing in Delhi, the plane was guided to a designated area as per security protocols. All passengers were safely evacuated, and the aircraft underwent thorough inspection.
This incident follows similar threats on flights earlier in the week. A Vistara flight from Delhi to Srinagar and an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Varanasi both received bomb threats. In each case, safety procedures were followed, and authorities conducted thorough inspections to ensure the safety of passengers and crew.
