Deputy Police Commissioner Ankit Singh of Dwarka reported that early Wednesday morning, they received information via email regarding bomb threats directed at at least six schools in the National Capital Region (NCR). Bomb disposal squads were promptly dispatched to the campuses to conduct thorough searches.
Local police, along with bomb disposal teams, swiftly responded to the situation by initiating searches of the premises upon receiving the information. Confirming the threats, senior police officers identified Delhi Public School (Dwarka), Mother Mary School (Mayur Vihar), and Sanskriti School (Chanakyapuri) as the targeted institutions.
Additionally, three schools in Noida and Greater Noida—DPS Noida (Sector 30), DPS (Sector 122), and DPS (Knowledge Park 5, Greater Noida)—were evacuated following bomb threat emails received by school authorities.
Parents were promptly informed about the situation at 8:30 a.m. via a message stating concerns over the safety and security of the students due to the received threats. Consequently, students were sent home as a precautionary measure, and private commuters were urged to collect their children from the respective school gates.
Acknowledging the seriousness of the threats, Noida Police spokesperson mentioned that senior officials were present at the affected schools, overseeing the situation. Necessary actions, including thorough checks in and around the school premises, were being conducted in response to the threats.
