IPL 2024: A big update has come regarding the return of Team India’s star wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant. According to media reports, he can be seen playing for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024. He will return to action after about 15 months in the 17th season. During this period, Pant can only be seen batting. The responsibility of wicketkeeping can be assigned to another player. However, till now no official update has come from the team regarding this.
Pant, who was away from Team India due to injury, was recently seen playing in a practice match in Alur near Bengaluru. This was his first warm-up match. Currently, he is undergoing rehab process at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. If he is successful in making a comeback in IPL, then he can also be seen playing in T20 World Cup 2024.

Pant had a narrow escape in a car accident
Let us tell you that Pant was badly injured after being a victim of a car accident on December 30, 2022. His car caught fire. Pant suffered a torn ligament in his right knee and injuries to his right wrist, ankle and toe as well as his back. He underwent surgery to repair injuries, wounds and scratches on his face. IPL will start from March 22
IPL 2024 will start from March 22. IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal confirmed this to news agency PTI on Tuesday. Despite the general elections, the entire tournament will be played in India only. The elections are expected to take place in April and May and this is the main reason why the schedule for the 17th edition of the IPL has not been released yet. Dhumal said that initially only the schedule of the first 15 days will be released. The list of remaining matches will be decided after the announcement of general election dates.

The Lok Sabha election dates are expected to be announced early next month. Dhumal said, ‘We are hoping to start the tournament from March 22. We are working closely with government agencies and will release the initial schedule first. The entire tournament will be held in India only.
