Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut has revealed the release date of her upcoming film, ‘Emergency’. On Tuesday, Kangana took to Instagram to share a new poster of the film, which features her portraying former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. In the poster, Kangana is seen looking away from the camera. The film is set to release on September 6, 2024.
Kangana’s caption for the poster read, “The Beginning of the 50th Year of Independent India’s Darkest Chapter, Announcing #KanganaRanaut’s #Emergency In Cinemas on 6th September 2024. *Emergency* is described as a portrayal of a pivotal moment in India’s political history. The film features an ensemble cast including Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, and the late Satish Kaushik. Supported by Zee Studios, the film is produced by Renu Pitti and Kangana Ranaut. The screenplay and dialogues are penned by Ritesh Shah, with music composed by Sanchit Balhara.
