Mother Dairy has announced a ₹2 per litre increase in milk prices in Delhi-NCR and other regions starting Monday, June 3, 2024. This price hike applies to all types of milk. The decision follows Amul’s recent rate increase, which came just before the Lok Sabha election results on June 4.
Mother Dairy stated that the price rise is necessary to cover the increased production costs that have been climbing for over a year. The company has kept consumer prices steady despite paying higher prices for milk procurement in recent months. Additionally, the extreme heat across the country has severely affected milk production.
In Delhi-NCR, the new prices for Mother Dairy milk are as follows: full cream milk will cost ₹68 per litre, toned milk ₹56 per litre, and double-toned milk ₹50 per litre. Buffalo milk will be priced at ₹72 per litre, cow milk at ₹58 per litre, and token milk at ₹54 per litre.
