According to the police, the accident occurred when one Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus attempted to overtake another. Two individuals sustained injuries after a DTC bus collided with a stationary bus in southwest Delhi’s Nauroji Nagar on Tuesday morning, as per police reports.
Providing further details, police stated that they received information about the accident on Tuesday morning at Safdarjung Enclave police station. The accident took place at Nauroji Nagar bus stand on Outer Ring Road involving two DTC buses.
Upon arrival at the scene, it was discovered that a DTC electric bus, driven by Akash, was picking up passengers at Nauroji Nagar bus stand when another DTC bus, driven by Chandveer, struck it from behind. “Two individuals, identified as Mukesh Kumar and Shamshula, both residents of Durga Park, West Sagarpur, sustained minor injuries and are currently receiving treatment at AIIMS Trauma Centre,” stated Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Rohit Meena.
“Legal action is being pursued in the matter,” added the DCP.
