The investigation has exposed the involvement of a sub-inspector named Jagdish Sihag, who stands accused of orchestrating the arrangement of dummy candidates for his sister and cousin. These individuals lacked the aptitude to pass the exam on their own, prompting Sihag to resort to deceitful means. It has been revealed that Sihag allegedly paid Varsha a staggering sum of ₹30 lakh to impersonate his relatives during the exams held in Jhotwara and Sodala in 2021.Furthermore, the probe has uncovered a broader web of deceit, implicating fifteen trainee sub-inspectors, including the top scorer of the recruitment exam. The arrest of these individuals has shed light on the intricate workings of a cheating syndicate within the law enforcement ranks. The investigation has also led to the apprehension of Jagdish Bishnoi, known as ‘Guru,’ who played a pivotal role in facilitating cheating activities. Initially offering services as an impersonator and dummy candidate, Bishnoi later transitioned to more sophisticated methods, including leaking exam content and facilitating cheating via Bluetooth devices.
