A yellow alert remains in effect, with similar weather conditions expected tomorrow, June 4. On June 5, the sky is predicted to be mainly clear, and strong surface winds with speeds of 20-30 km/h are expected. The yellow alert will be lifted after June 5. Delhi can anticipate a wet spell on June 3, 4, and 7, providing brief relief from the heatwave. The IMD forecasts a partly cloudy sky with possible thunderstorms accompanied by very light rain and strong surface winds ranging from 25-35 km/h.
The IMD has issued guidelines for the public to prevent heat-related illnesses. Residents are advised to:
– Avoid power lines or electrical wires.
– Stay indoors, close windows and doors, and avoid travel if possible.
– Seek safe shelter and avoid taking refuge under trees.
– Refrain from lying on concrete floors or leaning against concrete walls.
– Unplug electrical and electronic appliances.
These measures are recommended to ensure safety during the current weather conditions.
