A 24-year-old individual was caught by paramilitary forces at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on Thursday after he was found impersonating a Singapore Airlines pilot. Identified as Sangeet Singh, a native of Uttar Pradesh, the man was discovered dressed in a pilot’s uniform while loitering near the metro skywalk area.
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel noticed Singh, who was also sporting an ID card around his neck, claiming to be an employee of Singapore Airlines. However, upon further investigation, it was revealed that Singh’s credentials, including his ID card for in-flight operations, were forged and not authentic.
Singh had reportedly created the fake IDs, mentioning him as a representative of Singapore Airlines, using an online application called Business Card Maker. Additionally, he had purchased the pilot’s uniform from Dwarka to complete his guise.
Following his apprehension, Sangeet Singh has been arrested, and a case has been registered against him for impersonation and forgery. The incident highlights the importance of stringent security measures at airports to prevent unauthorized access and ensure the safety of passengers and airline personnel.
