During the Lok Sabha elections’ third phase, Prime Minister Narendra Modi voted at Nishan Higher Secondary School in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
After casting his vote, he waved to the crowd and proudly displayed his inked finger. Modi encouraged everyone to vote, emphasizing its importance like ‘daan’ (donation) in Indian tradition. He reminded people that there are still four more rounds of voting to go. Modi, who regularly votes in Gujarat, mentioned Amit Shah, the BJP candidate from the area, and highlighted the significance of voting.
After voting, Modi interacted with the crowd, signing autographs and sharing a light moment with a child. Before entering the polling booth, he respectfully bowed to his elder brother, Somabhai Patel. Amit Shah, contesting for the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat, accompanied Modi to the polling booth.
Modi is a registered voter in the Ranip area, and Somabhai Patel, his elder brother, lives near the Nishan School, which falls under the Sabarmati assembly segment of the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency.
